The programme delivers a weight management programme, which works to develop positive habits alongside approved medication.

The medication is delivered by a virtually painless injection taken daily or weekly, and works as an appetite suppressant. Leading to control your appetite and curb hunger, which should lead to significant weight loss and release stored body fat.

Suitable for adults aged 18 – 75, who have a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 when there are any other weight-related health issues present such as high blood pressure, abnormal levels of fats in the blood (lipids), or breathing problems during sleep (apnoea).

The medication will work as an appetite suppressant. It contains the active ingredient Liraglutide, which is a Glucogon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogue. GLP-1 is produced naturally in the human body after food is consumed. Liraglutide is 97% similar to the one our body naturally produces. The medication  tells your body that you are full and no more food is required. The medication is a virtually painless injection. It then makes you feel less hungry, feel fuller quicker and fuller for longer. This should lead to significant weight loss.

NMWLP may result in some short-term side effects. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, indigestion, constipation or diarrhoea. However, these usually settle within the first few days. Our team is always on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
